Diamond Head…the image is iconic in Hawai’ian popular imagery. I have have chosen to wait until now to try and paint it…until I finally found a vantage point and time of day that I felt presented the crown of Waikiki in a grand yet slightly different way.
So, here she is…burnished by our late afternoon sun and painted with a full brush, surrounded by varied blues and greens, and dotted with the tiny jewel-like visitors that I was hoping to capture.
